The best way to build your Young Living business is to host in person classes, but where do you start? I totally understand it can be confusing and flat out overwhelming so today I am going to be giving you some tips and tricks on how to host the best ever Young Living class.
1.) Invite People to Your Class 2 – 3 Weeks in Advance
Normal people make plans weeks in advance so make sure you let them know when your class is going to be so that they can make it! I planned out all of my make and take classes half a year in advance and printed them out so that people could hang them on their refrigerators so they knew exactly when my class would be.
Here’s the truth. Sometimes people won’t show up. Okay a lot of times! Don’t get disappointed. You know how life is. Sometimes things come up, people forget, or they are just not interested. Take a deep breath and keep sharing with them! But don’t worry they will warm up to it once they see the changes in your life.
2.) Have a Script Planed Out
You don’t need to be an expert speaker to host a class! I definitely am not. I’m the type of person that gets a shaky voice and sweaty hand when I have to public speak. But when you are talking about things you love, it’s not that hard!
Plan out what you are going to say. Make a script and read it! When you plan out what you are going to say, it will go much smoother. When you become a part of my team, I will give a script and all the tools you need to host your first class.
3.) Have Food Made with Essential Oils
People love trying the oils out and seeing how you can use them so I like to have oily snacks for them to try! For my first class I served Peppermint oil brownies, hummus made with Lemon oil, and essential oil candies. They were a huge hit!
4.) Give Stuff Away!
Who doesn’t love free samples?! One way to get people to fall in love with the oils is to give them oils to take home. My favorite way to do this is to set out sample packets (you can get these from Young Living) and let them choose the one they want to try. Then when you do your follow up, ask them how they liked it! I also give small spray bottle of the Thieves Household Cleaner for them to try
Giveaways are also a great way to get people to give you their phone numbers and emails. This makes follow ups nice easy! The giveaway does not need to be huge. I have done giveaways with the little amber bottles that come with the kit! Their small, but people still love it since it’s a free oil they can try.
5.) Show People you Really Care
Tell them why oils and Young Living products are so important to you. How did you get started? Why do you love the products? Why do you want them to use the oils? Make sure they know you aren’t just trying to make a sale. You really care about them and you really want them to get healthy.
6.) Follow up!
You will often here that the fortune is in the follow up. When you call someone after a class this shows them that you truly care about their thoughts! Ask them if they liked their oil sample, what they learned from the class, and if they would like to come to future classes. Also don’t forget to sincerely ask them how they are doing. Do they have any ailments they struggle with? Help them!
In my favorite book, Sarah Harnisch says to contact people 3 days, 10 days, and 30 days after the class. It may seem like you’re being pushy, but sometimes that’s what people need.
So for example on day 3 call them up and say something like “Hey! How did you like the class? Do you have any questions? I’m so glad you came!” On day 10 say something like “Hey! Did you try out your oil sample? Did you like it? What oils do you want to try? Do you have any questions?” And then on day 30 say something like “Hey! Have you tried anymore oils? Are you interested in coming to another class? I would love to have you!”
Want a shocking statistic? It usually takes over 6 times to follow up with someone before they make a purchase. So don’t give up! Keep them interested and keep teaching them!
