Now that you know all about what essential oils are and how the compensation plan works you’re ready to learn how to actually run the business. Where do you start?
First go buy this book. It will help you get started from how to host classes, to how to reach the next rank. You will get scripts for different types of classes (like 101 classes – you should have these every weekend!), scripts for follow up phone calls and how to share the oils in the best way. If you have no where to start, or if you have been doing this for years, you should read this book. It is seriously a must have when you are building a Young Living business. Here is a run down from things I have learned from this book!
Know Your Why
Why are you starting a Young Living business? It is to share oils with others and help change their lives? Is it to get of debt? To spend more time with your family? Whatever your why is, write it down. Set goals. Know what you are working towards!
My why is: I want to teach people about toxins and how to live a healthy lifestyle. I also want to get out of debt and make enough money so that my husband can retire and help homeschool our future children.
The best way you are going to reach people is through hosting in person classes. Online classes also work, but definitely not as well as having real people come to your real house and let them smell all of your real oils. Make sense? Keep it real!
If you want to build your business fast (think Silver in Six) than you are going to want to host 4 – 8 classes a month. My current goal is four Essential Oils 101 classes every Friday and one special make and take class every month.
If you can’t host classes 4 – 8 times a month, you are going to want to meet with people one-on-one. Ask them to lunch and tell them about your new business. Let them try the oils from the starter kit and give them a sample to take home.
The number one tip to getting people to love the oils? Get the oils on them. They will fall in love.
So how exactly do you host a class? Buy the Gameplan book. Get the 101 script (you will also receive my version of the 101 script when you join my team) get 10 – 15 people in your house, feed them some snacks, get out the starter kit, and read the script. The hardest part is getting people to your house. If you are inviting people on Facebook, invite 150 people. Ask 3 friends to invite 50 people and give them a gift. If you are asking people in person (like people at your church) you don’t have to invite that many. You can even ask them to RSVP if you want to make sure people are coming.
Do Follow Ups!
So you had your first class. It’s time to do follow ups! These are super important as they help people realize you care and it helps them refresh their memory of your class.
Ask them how they liked the class, if they liked the oils. If they got a starter kit ask them if you could meet up sometime to explain how to use the oils. Make sure you give them a small “welcome to my team” gift (when you join my team I will give you ideas on what to give to them)!
In the Gameplan book, Sarah, explains how often to do follow ups. She suggests to do follow ups 3 days after a class, 10 days after a class, and then a month after a class. Make sure you ask them if they have thought any more about the oils, what they would like to try (maybe send them a sample), and if they would like to come to another class.
Do you know how to work your virtual office? Sign into your Young Living account and check it out! This is where you will find what level you are at, at what PV you are, when your essential rewards will be shipped, who is in your downline, etc.
The most important thing to see is your downline. Who are they? How do you contact them? It’s all in the virtual office!
